On a rainy, miserable day in May ... we still have hope for the future. There is light at the end of the tunnel and, as shops and restaurants open, we have a taste of what we've missed for so long ... and it tastes good.
And it is in this environment, that Cousin Silas brings the sixth and last part of his " ... and friends, volume eight", a wonderful mix of delightfully gentle ambience ("Starscapes" by Cousin Silas & Pat Pik, and "Travelling In Opposite Directions" by Cousin Silas & Adam Steinberg); atmospheric ambient soundscapes ("The Calm in the Eye of the Storm" and "Dune Surfing in Samalayuca" by Cousin Silas & Puppy Bordiga, and "Aiguilles Marbrées" by Cousin Silas & Eisenlager); engaging electronica ("2minus 1 leg" by Cousin Silas & Ron Shayler, "8-16-32" by Cousin Silas & Reader Advisor, and "In Amber Labyrinths" by Cousin Silas & Telson); and the vibrant and quirky ("Extraterrestrial Presence" by Cousin Silas & Pete Swinton, and "The Carpet Seller" by Cousin Silas & Jaime Munárriz).
I've said it before but this volume really does get better and better.
As with the previous parts, there is just so much beauty on this album and I, for one, think our world needs this right now.
